Hard to tell what's going on with the OP one here wrt the chainstay pivot, but also very hard to imagine you could reliably repair that area.
Not many pics of that side available on the web, this appears to be one but there is no sign of the bracket the first one has.
OK, so this is probably a test bike/pre-production bike painted in corporate colours before the production frames were ready. I'm putting it at '92 as the original AMP built bike was featured in MBA in October of that year. AMP used a bolt on seat stay to get a bike ridable fast, they already offered this as a frame builder option for the B2 rear end of their own bikes. I have one of these in my collection of AMP stuff. I was just typing it looks like the backend of my Amp grafted on to it & before I posted it I got a message there was a new post. That clears it up nicely
