Nope, Schuiten's hour frame wasn't stamped with his name as far as I'm aware...

I've also had Rob Schuiten in touch recently asking for info on a frame of his dads that he found earlier this year, it is Roy's frame from the GP Lugano and the Grand Prix des Nations in 1975 and that also has no frame stamping.

Looking at those gold frames takes me back, Raleigh was so sure that they would get the record they paraded the kit and frames around the Raleigh dealers at the time. All magnesium alloy and titanium with the frames just dusted in gold paint to keep the weight down. I now wonder how many "real" hour record frames were made? Maybe the ones the reps had in their cars (Ford Capri for ours) were just gold SBDU track frames...

Going by the period of the spray job is it a Danny Clark worlds winning frame ?

I looked at Danny Clark, among others like Fred Rompelberg.

Danny didn't seem to have any Stayer results reported until 1985. I've seen pictures of him riding on a Raleigh, in 1985 colours (Halfords-Raleigh team?). The frame he is riding has 1985 features but this Stayer is a decade older with mid 70s features.

I should have a blog post up later today with who I think this frame was used by.
