I received this yesterday... it is a bit of a mystery but might have a hidden story.
It is claimed to be a custom built frame from 1984 but appears to be mid 70s.
It is built like a tank, in fact it would probably demolish a tank. It has the biggest chainstays, they measure approx 26mm (std is 22mm). These bikes normally run big gears and the chainstay indent is evidence of that. This picture shows the indent compared to a normal Raleigh track frame.
I have a theory that I know what this frame is but I'm waiting for a couple of email replies before I can confirm it...
