Ink Blue Zaskar

Dirt Disciple
Just unboxed a decent condition ink blue Zaskar. All the bits are rubbish, but the frame is pretty decent, with the blue being very vivid. Hopefully the photos have attached.

Its a Feb '94 with just really cable rub and chainstay rub. Is there a way of touching up the anodising? I know can't do much, but maybe a matching / similar metallic nail varnish?

Re:

NICE ! Gotto get one someday.

I'm just a keen amateur but my understanding of anodizing is that it's a coating of crystallised aluminium which is then stained afterwards. I have had a lot of success with minor anno scrapes (mainly black components) using indelible marker pen ! Dabbing gently effectively re-stains the ally and it seems to last pretty well.

Haven't tried on a large area but you could try with a dark blue marker on a small area to see.
Since the anno is porous and not flat painting over doesn't seem to work well.

Good luck.

The right shade nail varnish works well on headset rubbage, so that might be worth a go.
