INFO PLEASE - 98 Cannondale Stars & Stripes F Series Frame

Hi All, Got this March 98 dated Cannondale F series CAAD3 frameset in a stars & stripes paint scheme.

Had it a number of years now and haven't really found out much about it. It has no F number descriptor. It came with the following equipment:-

Painted Red Coda 800 Hubs Mavic 222/317's
XT 739 8spd Groupset
Red Avid SD2.0L V Brakes & Levers
Coda Tarantula Cranks
Coda 900 Pedals

Never seen another one so wondering if its a special edition of some sort.

If it doesn't coem with an F number decal, then it was either bought as a frame/fork, or was a warranty replacement.

I bought one of these stars & stripes Cannondales new back in 1999 from Hardisty Cycles in Newcastle. Superb bike which I rode, raced and loved until regretfully selling in 2013 when I replaced it with a Giant XTC carbon.
My Dale was originally specced with 8 speed XT groupset and Gripshift, red Avid v-brakes and Coda finishing kit, including matching red Coda hubs. I didn't like gripshift and Hardisty's swapped them for LX rapidfire shifters. The headshok was superb and never missed a beat, I cleaned and greased the area under the boot occasionally otherwise it just worked flawlessly.
The paintjob was to cash in on Cannondale's association with Mario Cippollini, I believe.
