Pro TTs represent the pinnacle of everything wrong in cycling currently. Nebulously complex and expensive proprietry tech, it attracts anoraks, nerds, pedants and glory hunters. The worlds TT tech is on a shelf beyond the reach of about 98% of nations. When people are applauding the use of tape on shins as innovation it just confirms it's jumped the shark in terms of being a sport.

Dauphine stage abandoned today, too many crashes on wet descents. I would have thought disc brakes and fat tyres were going to do away with all that....? "the wrong type of rain" no doubt . I'll stick to my rim brakes and skinnies thanks very much..
