Need some pictures, different ways to put bike on the wall.

I have seen a picture where bike was hanging from pedal, there was a small mount on the wall where to put pedal.

hmmm this is probably more psychological than physical but Im screaming inside for the poor pedal axle and bearings in those pics on amazon.

as said, dont like the idea that the most of the weight of the bike is carried over to the axle bearings.

I'm going to place one of my bikes on a console, made of wood, onto the wall. It will held in place via one or two plastified cables, just that it dont fall of the wall. The entire weight of the bike still rests on the tires.

I don't think it will do much harm hanging a 20-40lb bike by the pedal given that it's not uncommon for pedal and bottom bracket axles/bearings cope with 200lb+ people standing on them. :)

Mm, I really don't think the pedal will mind, it's taking considerably less weight than it sees in use :)

The subtlety you are missing is when peddling 95% of the force is in the vertical plane at 90 degrees to the axle.

On that hanger roughly 50% of that bikes weight is pulling in the horizontal against the bearings.

Agree it may be a moot point due to the low relative weight of the bike compared a rider at full chat but its still wouldn't be high on the design use cases for a pedal hence why I think it "feels wrong" even though its probably ok.

...considerably less stress than a 16stn rider grinding up a steep incline putting all his weight on each pedal alternatively, followed by a fast descent with a three foot drop off at the bottom! ;)

And pedals rotate on spindles, not axles...

B&Q wall hook.

Or have a look at Tortec bike hooks, useful for the man-cave.
