tough one, in good non perished, non cracked, not skidded with good tread i'd say £20 each, if on the other hand they are in a state then maybe a fiver each for a display bike as they wouldn't be usable on the bike for riding.

Hey man...can I ask you for a favor?
I took your advice and took some up close pics and loaded them to flikr. Can you access them (does the link work)? Can you appraise them...closer to $20 or $5 (for a display bike)? They look decent, but in the up close pics, I can see degradation. Thanks!
Oh, one more thing. I included a pic of the wheel - is that important to someone that appreciates the older stuff? Or should I just focus on the tires (tyres)?

Thanks. So about 10-15 British pounds...or $20 to me. Oh well, that really narrows the scope - as it is probably not worth the trouble for shipping/receiving them. Maybe I'll get lucky and someone from America would be interested. But I get the impression that collectable bikes garner more interest in England.
One last question if you don't mind. I'm a bit rough on bikes (only a commuter, but I do commute 13 miles a day; not too big, but I am 225 lbs) - and I just splurged for a double walled rim with heavy gauge spokes. Are the wheels meaningful to a collector? They look pretty sturdy, so I am not sure I want to part with them (I'd have to replace the back with a double wall...and that would not be cheap).
The best option may be for me to just give the tires to the guy that flips my mountain bike into a commuter, as a bit of a tip.

There's plenty of interest in the older bikes all over the world but, in my opinion, the retro Kona's don't seem so popular in the US. Is it the wheels in your photo's that you're referring to? Probably not going to make your fortune on them although without seeing the complete wheels it's hard to say.

I typically buy steel frame mountain bikes and have my mechanic "flip" them into my commuter bike. I generally get about 5-7 years out of them until the frame cracks. I don't ride too hard (I'm in my early 50s), so I am always surprised when the frame cracks. I just paid $250 (a bit high for me) for an old Specialized Stumpjumper and stumbled across some interest in Joe Murray tires on this site --- so I thought I could re-coup some of the $250, as I can't use those tires for commuting.
But now I feel pretty confident that was a bad idea. The photos I had seen with the interest in Joe Murray tires displayed the same GX-26 SATURNA wheels that I have, so I thought that meant something to someone with interest in the older bikes.
Oh well, the wheels look sturdy, so I will keep them for myself when I switch to street tires. I'll take down the ad, as I want to stay in good standing with this helpful site.
To all my new friends in England...this is the best time to give baseball a chance...tune into to the World Series.
