Hey up / I wasn’t exactly sure what to do with this frame and there isn’t a category in show us your builds but I’m attempting a Frankenbike bike packer with a Dawes Countryman but with a much nicer HB frame (the Countryman Is available if anyone wants it but it’s a bit knackered) - anyway I love the Hooger Booger a lot and it does stand out from the crowd so it’s here as I build it up - I’m canny new to this so I’m just building as I go/learn / cheers 🥂 - if this thread should be somewhere else I’ll happily park it there 👍 FC2D1980-171D-4994-832C-D72BACFDC428.jpeg

Looks a good " man size" frame too.

Loving the bars......have you tried them the other way up.?....they look great as 30s style drop bars.

I had one of these for a while but sadly it was too small for me. Interesting component choices. I'm looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

Ahhh thanks - yeah, I really liked all the gear from the Dawes Countryman so I’m putting my favourite bits on the HB - Hopefully I can find a nice riding position for a bike pack 👍

Hello - I’m after a bit of advice - I’ve just spent ages cleaning up this Shimano Biopace triple crankset that I’d like to put on this build but I didn’t check the front derailleur diameter and got the rear on and then worked out the front didn’t fit as it was a smaller diameter (28.9??) the clamp on the HB is 31.9. Is there anything suntour that will do the same shifting job on the biopace. ??? Thanks 🙏

The biopace shape makes no odds to the front derailleur.....just set it up as normal to clear about 3mm above the "widest" point on the top ring. But i assume you know that.

31.8 is probably a bit new for there to be an AR in that size, but there are lots of offerings in 31.8 from suntour..the "xc limited" kit is very good for very little money if your looking.

Ahh thanks for getting in touch - I’ve realised I’ll need a wider bottom bracket too as the one I’ve got on isn’t wide enough to house all three chain rings without catching the frame - so… I’m now thinking I can get a wider BB and a larger clamp front D or I’m considering running it as a five speed with a 46t single chain ring crank / hmmm 🤔- thanks for advice 👍✌️
