I use WiFi & homeplugs (network over mains) at home. After a recent phone contract change my reception in workshop is really bad. Too far from house for a booster & not practical to hard wire.
I'm after a homeplug device for the workshop that will create a new wifi zone. I did have a device from Aldi years back that was supposed to do this but I could never get it to work.

Looking for recommendations for a device that will do this that is easy to set up.

Thanks!

Got an old router laying about? Set it up on the edge of you WiFi range as a repeater.

I don't unfortunately . The wifi will reach all the way to the loft but barely past the back door 15ft away. Exterior walls are a solid foot plus thick. [Edit 20" thick]

TP link Deco M4's are a good shout, mesh setup so modular and easy to set up. I installed them in my house when I built an office in my garage and was that impressed I got a setup for the in laws as well (who have a house built of thick concrete walls like yours). Recomended to a few colleagues for reliable home office wifi setups and everyone who has set one up has been impressed. Can manage the whole network through a (good) phone app as well.

Meshing WiFi is always the worst solution - always has been and probably always will be due to the non-negotiable laws of physics coupled with the law of never having power sockets in suitable locations. Obviously a cable to the workshop and an access point in there is the best solution; second best (assuming relatively clear line of site between the buildings) is probably a wireless bridge with additional access point inside the workshop. Is the workshop on the same electricity supply as the house though? If so then the TP-Link HomePlug devices are OK, about £40 gets you a wireless (for the workshop) and non-wireless (for the house) pair and those are literally plug and play. Which Homeplugs do you currently use?
