Hi all
For sale here for £500 is a bike frame behind by my late father who was an avid competitive cyclist in his younger years around the early 1970s.
This has been kept in a garage completely unused for many years. It is in very good condition and I found it is a loft without any wheels attached so I suspect it has been in this condition and untouched since the 1970s.
The frame number can be seen under the crank as 35453 which dates it to 1971. Neither the front of the frame nor the rear have been drilled for brakes therefore is a completely original track frame. The seat post has been removed as requested by someone to ensure it is not seized, this will be included.
Additionally, the bike was stored with 3x wheels which I can only suspect are compatible with this frame. These appear to be in good condition with exception to degraded rubber as you'd expect for this age.
The frame size is shown in one of the attachments.
I've identified the price from the related post in the Reader's Retro Road Bikes post HERE where other information / discussion can be seen along with details on another Holdsworth complete bike I'm selling in a separate post HERE
What could also be bolted on to the sale are some magazines from the era as described in the post HERE however I have no idea what value should be applied to those at this point in time.
I am based in Worsley, close to Manchester / Bolton / Salford, viewing welcome and collection in person preferred.
I have listed this item on ebay as per link HERE (link to be updated soon when created)
Feel free to request additional specific photos or other information.
Thank you
