Well, some Monitor Audio Festival speakers have just donated their tweeters without any need for modification with quite pleasing results...

My little boy pushed in one of the tweeters in on my Mission 760's. It popped out when I gave it a little tickle. Sounds alright when playing kiddy story CD's and Justin Bieber so that's alright.
