After my recent find of a turnip(a raleigh amazon) in its original mid 90's condition.
It made me think of how many more hidden treasure's there are waiting to be discoverd or even that other people have dicovered.

Starting a wrenching job at a new shop and mentioning to one of the other mechanics that my dream bike was a Xizang, he takes me to a dusty corner of the racks and shows me an as yet unridden 1998 bike in my size, half way to being built into a Rolf-hubbed all-weather commuter of all things.

The rest is history.

Not a 'dream find' but I did find the catalogue spec Bontrager Ti saddle for my KHS just hung up in the saddle section at work

It must have been there for ages, luckily no one bought it before I did

I found a '92 Zaskar with full XTR and a WTB togglecam in the rear for $90 US. It was pretty beat up, but it was a great project and now is a terrific trail bike.

I'd post pics, but when I tried it told me I had to post more before I could post links, etc.
