Cant see anything on there to really worry about. New bolts and bits and it'll ride again.
Tbf you are right most rusted stuff is bolts and surface stuff. A few grazes on the paint but can be treated.
I've started dismantling the bars and the front stem is not oem the A-stem or round GT one used to slip alot so its been switched for a odyssey front loader at somepoint.
pumped up the front tyre seems fine except needs new spokes, decent rims straight.
Dave Voelker was a cool guy back in the 90s this model was top end compared to another model called Bestwick?
Anyways the large bolt and washer is done needs a new Ahead star I think that's what it's called should be 1 1/8" size ?
not restored newer components before but hey I think it's well made to be saved🤔

Started to strip it back its 24 years of rusted stuff. Notes slight dent rear drop out tube but hey she had a hard life I reckon?
Spent an age find the right named parts.
"Bmx fork cap hollow bolt"
Bought the first part ranging 10 to 20 pounds. 1000025153.webp
Not sure of direction rechrome or white powder coat on chrome parts?
I could just clean up and top coat bare metal.
I've got no emotional attachment to this so really could just clean her up and pass it on.

minimum spend, clean it, ride it, shelve it.

Hey Novacain, Yeah the more I stripped her up, the more she felt like she was a daily runner or a work horse.
The bike would have been alot worst if it wasnt built as tough as it was?
Reminded me of a friends Griffter thats a heavy beast at 11😄
Still spending 20 for just a bolt 😂🤣
Im gonna spend my time clean each bit and see where I end up......?
I think I had this grand idea of making her shed a few kg's!
Shes got charm in a raw way.
Keep the Pa'tina👍
