Modern 80mm suspension forks on my GT Tequesta 1992?
Or would it handle so badly I'd be better off walking?
What would you reckon the maximum travel I could go to on my bike if 80mm is too much? I don't mind steering which isn't mega sharp but if it's unrideable then I better pass.....

What forks would anyone recommend?

check the length of the original forks and compare - most early 90's GTs were offered with Rock Shox as an option so...

I would be respraying them to match the bike so I'd rather have ones that I don't care about as much. I'd like some Mag21's to be honest but there isn't many around.

I got a 92 gt outpost and put rst mozo pros on there, 3.5" which is around 80mm and with sag they sit around 60mm so about the same a to c

Thanks. That's the info I needed!
However I've just remembered I want to keep the canti's so I will be limited to period forks anyway.

Beat me to it, r.e. the sag.

Cantis will go on V bosses fine.

:)

Yeah I know. But you need a cable hanger too which more modern forks don't have.
