Help with identifying this drop out type, please....

Could the collective wisdom please help me remember what this spear type of drop out is.... 🤦‍♀️
Typing 'spear drop out' into google isn't bringing anything up... the lugs appear to be Brampton type, but not sure these are.

Nothing like Osgear ends, which incorporated a vertical dropout position to fit the wheel forward, as the Osgear needed the the cogs to be as close to the changing fork as possible, and allow easier wheel fitting.

The points are just to help locate the wheel when reinserting it, sometimes called "quick release", and were common in the 40/50s.

On Claud Butlers they were know as 'Continental' dropouts I believe. Don't think they were a patented design so lots of manufacturers and builders used something similar. Like so many other things they were fashionable for a while then dropped out (no pun intended) of favour.
 
+1 for "Continental" although Christ knows what they're called on the Continent? :LOL:
