Help! Suntour X-Press Gear Cables

Hmm, after a lot of hard work and toil my '90 Explosif was nearly finished back in June when had to go away for the start of our guiding seasoni in Andorra - the only thing left to do was fit the cables and she's good to go....BUT

I popped back for a week off, and have reaslied that I can't find Suntour X-Press compatible gear cables - am I being dense? Does anyone know where they are available?

They are the old, odd small vertical barrel-end cables and I cannot seem to find anyone online selling them - I am stuck! Help! :shock:

I seem to remember having success BITD filing a couple of flats on the head of a standard gear cable....

Thanks for the links; I’m UK based and just after the post I stumbled across some old Halfords double ended stock from eBay. Looks like it should do the trick but I do remember back in the 90s finding a few where certain models wouldn’t fit into the aperture in the shifter so I’ll try the Simplex one if not!

Anyone seen any NOS Suntour outer anywhere recently?
