Help! Slingshot flexboard disassemble

Hey guys, just got a Slingshot from ebay, and i am going to repaint it ,but i can't disassemble the flexboard :shock:
anyone knows if there is easy way to disassemble it

You might shoot a PM to rumpfy, one of the members here. I think he has several Slingshots.
 
Well I am not an expert but do know that these items are glued and then cured (baked) into place. You will not be able to repaint properly without removing the board..........But this is not something just anybody can do.
The board will have to be destroyed to be removed. Then you will have to have someone with the experience of these to put in a new one.
Slingshot was bought by a new co and do offer a refurb. This is amazing as they have no obligation to offer this service.
There are other former employees that can do the job and I did have it done......in the US.

I do have some spare boards.........but you may have to sell a kidney.
 
You can't get it out because its set in place with epoxy. Heat gun would break the bond, but you'll most likely destroy the fiberglass in the process.

I'm not sure the current state of Slingshot, but for a while, they would not service older Slings. Maybe this has changed as mentioned above?
