Hi, Im new to the retro bike world and have just gotten hold of a 17.5inch '94 Orange Clockwork. My daily modern bike is a Specialised Stumpy pro Carbon trail bike but couldnt resist this old school project as I lusted after these bikes as a kid (im in my 30's!)Its pretty standard and in cracking nick barring horrid tektro v brakes, RST forks and a 90's 'Halfords special' suspension seat post. Plan is to fit XT V brakes and thumb shifters along with better suspension and a riser bar to make it more useable.My main dilemma is where to get hold of some forks? Its has a 1" threaded steerer. Options:
1. Get hold of some PACE RC35's
2. Fit some rigid forks (got eyes on set of Orange F7 forks and think they should fit?)
3. Fit some Pace RC36 evo forks
If I end up fitting a fork with a 1" steerer which is unthreaded ill just convert to a 1" ahead stem....
Thoughts/advice please or offers of parts?
