Help! Hope rear hub spacing issue.

Hi, can anyone shed any light on what’s happening here?

This rear hub is spaced at 130mm but the larger part (nearer the freewheel) won’t physically fit in a standard dropout. The other side is normal, but drive side has this weird stepped shape. I was running it on a 135mm spaced bike so I made up a 5mm spacer - it worked ok but the freewheel is then 5mm further inboard (away from the chainstay) which results in a funky chain line in lower gears.
Can’t work out why it’s like this? Anyone know?

Thanks for the upload - do you think the hub has been assembled wrong with the spacer (pt. 3 on diagram) put in the wrong place?

Possibly, or someone has fitted an xc 135 axle! You need to strip it down to verify the error.

Looks likely that the spacer item 3 5mm, is located in the wrong place or missing! An xc axle won't be the issue, having just looked at mine, different beast.
