Helmets/keeping your head warm in Winter.

I have a skull cap, a fleece snood and a hoodie that goes over my helmet

Due to an ankle injury I've not ridden much since December, the cold seems to hurt it more
The Nike hoody goes nicely over my helmet

I've got a few already

I use one on my neck, just that the skull cap is a little small. I'll try the 2 snoods tip.

It's my ears that make me feel cold (and fear losing them to frostbite lol) so........

A snood around the neck to keep the blood going up and down warm......

.....and one of these has been a game changer for the head and ears when it is proper cold

My advice is get your helmet on top of it quick once on your head as it does look a bit daft on its own.
I need to order some stuff from planet X so will probs get a spare as I am bound to loose it lol

I don't wear a helmet just a ski hat.

Lightweight merino skull cap and merino snood/buff/tube. The latter can be purchased in different weights to cover various temps. Years ago i commuted in Scandinavia and used skull cap, balaclava and ski googles but it was anything up to 20c below.

I don't wear gloves or anything under the helmet, I find that it all naturally warms up as you ride.
