Hi all,

Wondering if the collective could recommend a decent helmet light for me. I have the Cree T6 ones and they work fine, but for the solo I have planned for Mayhem, I don't want to faff around with batteries in my pocket and the cable connnection half way up my back. Having to change them every couple of laps at most.
So I'm looking for something that has built in power and not mega pricey. I tend to just use a helmet light when I'm out, with the low beam normally ok, and add the bar mounted one for fast sections.
Any helpful advice welcome ;)

Thanks,

Mike

Re:

I have a couple of lights similar to these ones that I use for a helmet mounted light.

You can get the 18650 batteries on ebay for not much money too. Two or three of the 4000mAh ones will be enough to last a whole night of riding. Just charge them up fully and carry a spare. The lights fade rather than just cut out.

The best thing about these lights apart from the price is that they fit into the Exposure helmet mounts.

Very powerful, clean and directional spot beam which is great when combined with a broader bar mounted flood light.
