Dont buy a type 1, its pants. Type 2s are a much tighter construction and shift far better.
 
that's the candy. They caution they could be problems using 10 speed? They do look good

Hmm... I've only ever used it with 8-speed so far.

Mine squeaked like a bugger at first though, think it just took a while to wear in tbh.
Shifting is as good as any other mech from what I can tell.
