Harry Hall query

I have aquired this Harry Hall and would really like to return the blue items to their original red but 1-Don't know how I can match the paint
2-Don't know how to go about painting it.
Any ideas suggestions welcome. Original owner evidently painted it to match TDF colours in the 90s Discovery Team?

Cheers. Jim

Hello,

Better car parts shops should do a paint matching service, although they may look at you a funny if you say it's for a bicycle :D

You could have a go at stripping the paint, e.g. with nitromors, then using
rattle cans to prime and respray. This chap has got some good results:

However, rattle can paint is not very durable. My Dad rattle canned an old
bike of his and the paint scratched very easily.

The alternative is to go for a full respray. Places like Bob Jackson's in Leeds can do a single colour respray for about £100, I think. There was also a guy with the user name Lazarus in Liverpool on this forum who did reprays, but I have not seen him on here the last couple of months.

Hope that is useful.

Johnny
