Hi all long time no post.
Ive just committed to buying a 70s Harrier City. I've never heard of them before but the bike looks nice. All original including saddle bag and mudguards.
I just wondered if anybody here could give me any info. Ive read somewhere that they were made using decent Reynolds tubes
I also will need to buy new inner tubes as it has been sitting in flats for god knows how long. The current shoes might hold air but i cannot be sure and as I'm using the train to collect it would be nice to ride home. To that end i intend to take some inners with me. Im guessing it is 700c?
I cannot upload pics arm as the file is too big. It is a medium blue frame. Looks very much like a Raleigh of the same era. Sturmey Archer 3 speed. Chain guard and mudguards all the same color. Old fashioned canvas saddle bag. Harrier on downtube and city on the chain guard. Moustache bars.whitewall tyres.
I will try and make the pics smaller and post. Any info gratefully recieved
Edit : So it is definitely a Harrier City but the only bikes on Google with that name are Reid Harrier fixies.....
