I'm kicking myself. Took the E3 out for a ride late this afternoon to Burrator reservoir near Yelverton in Devon and managed to leave my wheels behind like a complete retard. Needless to say, they weren't there when we went to look an hour or so later. We were parked at the Norsworthy Bridge carpark I think.

Here are the details on the minute chance it'll help me get them back..

Front wheel:

Hub - Pace RC-50 silver.
Spokes - DT Swiss double butted silver spokes
Nipples - yellow / gold anodised
Rim: WTB PowerBeam in silver
Tyres: Paneracer Fire XC Pro, red walls, 26 x 2.1"
QR: X-Lite titanium bolts with red covers

Rear Wheel:

Hub - Hope Ti-Glide in silver
Spokes: same as front
Nipples: same as front
Rims: same as front
Types: same as front
QR: X-Lite titanium with the removable handle in purple

I've filed a lost item report with the local police, but I doubt I will see them again, so I'll be after some replacements if anyone has some decent hubs I can get built up. Would prefer Hope (& Pace) again if I could, but open to suggestions.

how effing annoying - I worry about doing that as well, easily done though.

I know what it is like to do that - I had a handle bar bag with tools that I must have left on top of car before driving off

Gutted :(

I tend to check the roof of the car these days and take a loop around the carpark because I know I can be a tool...

Fingers crossed, never know your luck, I assume you're keeping an eye on ebay and the local gumtree?

Back in my crazy glory days of sin, debauchery and BMXing, I slung the jump bike in the back of the Saab and flew down to skate-park for a quick session in the foam-pit, only to get there and find a bike minus the front wheel

Muggins here had left it propped up next to the car when I loaded the bike in the boot.... DOH!!

Luckily (I was living in deepest, darkest Toxteth at the time) it was still there when I got back

Hope you get sorted

Still angry with myself today, and to add to my general air of calmness my PC has decided to pack up completely. Currently contemplating fetching a hammer and taking my anger out on the POS, I'm certainly not spending any money on it.

As for the wheels I logged a lost item notification with the police last night detailing the exact spec. Nothing had been handed in last night and to be honest I doubt they will be, but at least this gives me a leg to stand on if they do turn up on eBay or Gumtree.

I managed to grab some wheels with red Hopes last night, but I'll eventually need to change the black spokes and rims for silver to fit in with the Orange. Spent too much on bikes in the last couple of weeks, my 456 Carbon cheapie project has turned out to be anything but  so I better make sure I don't leave the wheels for that behind...

I really feel for you mate. I can handle it OK when crappy things happen/are done to me, but I have no patience for my own mistakes. I'd still be in the parking lot screaming....

Wasn't in the mood to work today, so I didn't (one of the advantages of being freelance). In between ripping my PC apart, I cheered myself up a bit with this...
