dropout sheared so will work best as singlespeed (perfect 32:16 chainlength no tensioner) or with Rohloff (like I did 24.4lbs) or similar nexus / gear system.

Serial may reveal whether this is an LE frame GTX 97123

How about a picture? There was no LE in 1997. It was just called a Xizang. They had blue decals in 97 fi you check the catalog pictures.

Definitely single speed material with a chance tensioner or eccentric hub.

Looks like in 97model year the serial number letters GTX meant GT Xizang, the first two numbers 97 meant model year and the 123 being number that was produced that year.

Bike hanger is cycloc - I bought it cause it looks good and is simple.

Black one is recycled plastic - there is a big hole which means you can lock it up outside - retaining screws are hidden.

Or you could run geared with a Shimano Hone/Saint rear hub/mech.
