GT Stem options - 1992

I have a Pantera Al that i am midway through doing up that i have had since i was a kid.
It originally had (and i do still have) the GT branded quill stem.
I am putting on a set of bombers and threadless aheadset.

Did any GT from the 1993-1995 kind of era ever come with a stem that was the same cosmetic design as these older ones but that would work with threadless steerer?

I am looking for, effectively, a flip flop stem main part but fitted with pinch bolts i guess.

All the GT stems I have found are quite anonymous rather than having anything making them uniquely GT

I bought my Zaskar in late 1993 with its flipflop aheadstem

I have spare one if you really need it

There was a brushed alloy type aheadstem embossed with the GT logo, might have one somewhere still.

That’s exactly the kind of thing i was looking for, obviously GT with the logo in like the current one, but threadless!

I think that is the one that i have seen elsewhere, it’s hard to tell in the images but it seems to be without anything with the company’s branding. The quill one i have has the cap over the back of the stem stamped with GT etc.

If you have a look in the archive there are examples in the catalogues. From the 1993 one this is the one I was thinking of

My rts-2 from 93 had a gt branded ahead stem. It was black, iirc removable face plate but could be wrong about that. I think 93 was around when ahead stems started to replace the threaded variety on higher end mtbs, then they became the standard.
