GT LTS 1000 1997 SHOCK HELP.

Hi Everyone and Anyone as I am looking for a bit of advice regards the Rear Rock shox super deluxe on my GT LTS 1000 I have just purchased.

Obviously this is a Key componet on this bike which will need replaced at some time, it as i say is Super deluxe shock with a 700 spring.
I have just recently found somone selling the exact same shock but with a 400 spring on it, would/can i use this on my LTS 1000 if my old one totally goes ?

Hi,

If the shock is in good working order and a sensible price grab it! Well worth keeping spares, as for the spring that's swappable 700lb, 400lb you can get 500lb and 600lb too all for different rider preferences on spring weight, another good thing to have if you're planning long term keeping and the frame hasn't got them already is the betd bearing/bush kit (not cheap) but will last years and works wonders

Hi Bob,

Thanks for that bit of advice much appreciated, wasn't sure, as I have been off the bike seen for a good 9 yrs. As you mentioned, i have found a betd bush kit as well for a small price.
