Since the invention of Lock on grips I haven't had problems with grips. However the Oury grips I bought off here keep slipping. I originally installed them with the old Hairspray trick. That didn't work. So I tried Superglue. That worked for 2 days. Now they are still slipping all the time. The only lock on grips I have use a sleeve inside the grip which won't fit the grips :( I like these though they are really comfy and the glow in the dark too which is a bonus. Help! What else can I do?

If you have no access to a compressor, then Weldtite degreaser spray- the really concentrated one.

Evaporates really fast and locks your grips down really well.

Think I may need a new set after the superglue. On-one are selling them :) And the also have glow in the dark lock ons!

I always clean the bars first with something that evaporates quick...

Then a spray of gt85 on the bars, and some on the the inside of the grip, this gives you enough time to get them in a nice position... Then wait... and in about 10mins they're steadfast.

Has worked every time for me, for hundereds of grip on-and-offs, and never failed. even Oury's..

doesn't work on foam grips tho..

i have had success with a glue stick such as Pritt or another brand for foam grips.

grips can be removed afterwards.

Thoroughly clean and then degrease the bars using isopropyl (sp?) alcohol. CD/DVD cleaner is ideal. To fit the grips wet the inside of the grips and the bar with more alcohol - the grips will slip on and then stick firmly as it evaporates.
