Grafton Cleats Varieties & Parts! Speed Trap / Speed Lite

I'm going through a pile of Grafton cleats and spare cleat parts. It seems there's two quite different type of cleats. Could anyone explain the difference /purposes between the two? Also, this lot came with a bunch of elastomers for the cleat mechanisms on the pedals themselves though these seem thicker than I usually see. They are 3.38mm thick. Was this just a stiffer version?
