Sounds like it's got those new fangled electronic shifters too, as the derailleur needs to be 'wired bag in'. LOL

Unlikely to harm a front wheel, a shock from the front is like a shock from below. If you hit the back of a car quite slowly with the front brake on this is what happens. At least he has not given it the 2 minute tug, to make it look right. I suppose it must be worth £50.
