Nice fork, i was recently about to buy a bike with the LT variant, and did a bit of search for information too.
I hope it's OK to add a bit of documentation and a question from my side to this thread.
The Girvin ProForx was introduced in 1993 (as mentioned, with different arch)
Their was also this LT, long travel variant where the casting was going below the axis of the wheel as shown in the ad above.
I'm a bit puzzled still on ProForx in general.
Because we had for very limited time (1993-4) the Girvin ProForx, till Girvin/Offroad/ProFlex was fully concentrating on their Vector fork.
Than, or same time, forks which are sold as just ProForx, without a second brand,
BTW: promised as built in America
and moreover the Answer ProForx model, also just as a second line in their fork portfolio.
Is that an fork from an independent, most likely Taiwanese manufacturer?
Are they all a bit the same, just different variants, evolution levels and different co-branding?
Or was technology and name ProForx licensed to partners like Girvin and Answer? Which have produced that stuff than on their own?
