GIRVIN Cross links spring

Hello, I am the proud owner of a set of the above but the Noleen shock unit seems ill. Does anyone know what I can put in instead the existing shock measures 210mm eye to eye.
Please help me- i'm desperate, old and lonely....well I am married but that doesn't count for anything.
Cheers
Drew

I've always thought that a set of Girvins would be amazing if they could be retrofitted with a decent air shock (Fox RP3 for example). I've been tempted to buy a set and try for myself!

Is it the shock, spring or both that seems ill?.
Mine had elastomers but I've changed them for a spring on the ODS shock.
Ideally I'd like an air shock but it they are expensive unless they come with the "probably needs a service" disclaimer. I'll keep looking though.

hi, not sure, but its not the original spring so it probaly that, how much travel did these have when new.

cheers drew

That's a 'Shockworks' generic air shock in there. Just had it lying around so fitted it. No reason at all why any other air shock shouldn't be fitted as long as it will fit in the space available. This is a Vector which originally had the elastomer fitted, but it's the same set of easy to work around issues with the later fork with the spring.

I have the same issue, measured my shock as 205mm i to i, 8.125", the stroke is 51mm / 2". I'm struggling to find a decent replacement for mine that's not really expensive, I can find nothing about shockworks shocks on the internet, are they dead / discontinued?
