Giant NRS of (slightly) uncertain age - Restomod

Dirt Disciple
In a shameless bid to draw attention to myself, here's my Giant.
Based on where its pivots are I think it's a 2002 frame. I did ask my LBS who sell Giant to look up the serial number but it doesn't seem to be in the current serial number database.
I only did half a job on this. I bought it half done as a parts donor for my main project and realised I could have a new bike a lot quicker if I just finished it off.
The only drama has been finding that some metal bits were missing from the suspension. I think the paint held it all together at the start. You can, surprisingly, still get NRS bearing and bushing kits.
I've been riding it for about a year now. I would characterise it as 'nice'. I don't really have anything to compare it to except my hardtail and it's certainly more comfy than that.

Can we have a drive side shot please before the internet implodes 😁

The New Forest is lovely. Unless it’s a bog. I used to live in Southampton and could just ride straight into it. I’m a little further away these days and have to plan a proper trip. It’s hardly an MTB paradise - you are there on sufferance, no mountains, etc. - but it’s not as flat you might think and some of it is stunning.

I did Romsey to Sway and took the train back a few weeks ago. I think next time I’ll do Sway to Romsey and start with the train trip. It was nice.

We're near Chichester, so it's around 70 miles to get there. We did a couple of holidays near there when our son was little. I think a loaded tourer on the train may be tricky now. Ideally we would ride there, BnB unload and ride from there.

A race I shouldn't of entered, not being fit enough. Very enjoyable non the less.

2006 Llandegla. The Giant NRS was awesome.
