Geoffrey Butler 1987

Hi from Australia.
This is my 1987 Geoffrey Butler road bike. Fairly new to me - I have had a 1951 Claud in the past. Picked it up as a frame/ fork and built up with 6400 tri-colour.
I'm unsure if the paint is original but I have replaced the decals as they weren't in good condition. Campagnolo dropouts but I'm not sure which tubing - probably 531 or SL. Rolls saddle, ITM bars and stem, Mavic CXP rims.

That's travelled quite a long way from Croydon to Oz! Any idea how/why it got there?

GB were quite a local bike shop to me and closed down in 2021.

Not sure how or when it arrived. I bought it off a friend who wanted a matching pair of GB track and road bikes. This frame was too small for him. Most likely, somebody emigrated and brought the bike with them. Back then, we did have a lot of local builders but there were also a fair few British
