Been looking at the alu Kona's, the first ones to market the AA & Kula. Is that correct?
What is the difference in frames if any? The Kula was Easton tubed iirc, seems the Kula is favored over the AA, is this due to the spec or the frames being different? I did read in a thread about some not having replaceable mech hangers.

Discuss.

Not always the case in regards frames - though the Kula was one up in the range from the AA component-wise.

The ‘95 Kula was Easton Elite, with the AA being Alcoa, but for ‘96 & ‘97, both were EE.. Ku was too (though obviously it was a bit more special).

Hazy on other years, I’m afraid.

Great riding bikes both. Had a ‘97 AA, with Z2s, fresh from Santa.

There was also the Koa in '96 and '97 which was made of '7005 Aluminium' according to the catalogue spec.
