Oh man that looks rough,
Bars are custom one piece unit but yeah could be sorted or swapped out to standard bars and stem, that is if the stem isn't rusted in .... Same worry for that seatpost.

No, a fairly common approach, it doesn't have much force going into it so doesn't need to be super-tough.
