ok so i had one of these last year and very stupidly sold it to get another bike maybe my worst choice in a good while
i managed to find another that was bare alloy ready to either polish or paint. if im honest i really dont think polish does these frames justice so she was always going to be painted.
I normally do all my own paint work but due to covid booth access has been very hard to obtain so had to send this one off to a friend. The funk is not going to be stock colours but still whacky bright 90s look to it.
build wise will be m900 mechs brakes shifters and a lot of turquoise
Don't have that many images to share as of yet but a quick primer/base shot ;) will update as i go

It's an early one. I guess somewhere around '91 as it still has the welded seat clamp and screw in cable stops but unlike my '90 Pro Comp there's a welded stop for the front mech.

Do you have a paint scheme in mind?

i have limited knowledge to be fair swede so thanks for that info i am yet to see the frame in the flesh but its going green rear faded into pink middle faded back to green front looks very like a twister lolly lol :)

You have a great frame there Steve I bet you are happy with that. The paint scheme sounds mad, but they were originally loud and bright so I'm sure it will fit in with other Funks. I can envisage this being something special.

i wanted to keep the mad crazy bright colours and from the pics ive seen so far it looks bonkers lol
i have 90 percent of the parts ringle kooka ect but a ringle stem is still playing hard to get ;)

Iirc dreschler57 has a load of ringle stems, but judging by recent posts he will probably want a pretty penny for one

I'm looking forward to seeing it! What fork are you planning on putting with it?

Whilst you're all reading this... we need some more Funk fanboy votes as I want a badge ;)
