sadly my arthritic knees & hips can longer propel this across the common at the speed I would like, so rather than have it languish in the shed it's time to move it on to fund other projects, can't remember the build year but the colour is "peaty red" if that helps, mixture of components over the years but swinger rear shock & nixon dual travel forks both hold air & function ok, hayes front brake seized recently & bike is now fitted with a brand new xt system, rear hayes brake works fine, also comes with spare front hope/mavic wheel with tyre,it has been ridden as intended so some scuffs on paintwork but most importantly there are no dents, cash on collection only, located close to m5 junc28, considering cost of front brake £485 seams fair, mike b.

oops, nearly forgot, frame size is small, I am 5' 10" & picture shows bike as set up for me

Re:

When you say that forks and shock "work ok", does that mean they need a service?

What about the rest of the bike (frame bearings, bottom bracket, wheel bearings)..?

forks & shock both hold air , all other components are in working order, mike

An old Fox RP3 I had "held air".. The rest of it was still knackered though which was why I asked for a bit more of a description. Thanks anyway and good luck with the sale.

hello, to try & clarify my description, the bike has been unused for the last 9 months, on every ride out previously the forks & shock have functioned perfectly with no loss of air, as far as I am aware all bearings & bushings are in good order, the front hayes brake was seized when I checked the bike over & this has been replaced with a brand new xt setup, bike has been ridden around the village & all gears select & function as you would expect, rear hayes brake works fine, it's not a new bike but neither is it a knackered old dog as I hope the photo shows, the only reason for lack of use & sale is that at 62 yrs of age my arthritic knees hips & other joints prevent me from propelling this across woodbury common in the manner that is now a distant memory, lot of bike for little money, remember it's collection only, mike b.

Re:

Seems like a good deal to me- if you were closer I'd be tempted.

If you haven't then try advertising on singletrackworld.com- more users.

no the race face stem & bars (pace renthal) were items I had sourced sometime ago & were used on my pace rc200 when I originally built that up, the orange came to me with a short stem & wide riser bars which I hated so they were swapped for the bits now fitted that were in my parts drawer also including the race face seat post, mike.
