FS. MK1 DMR Trailstar frame. Perfect S/S or Geared play bike

As per title, gorgeous MK1 trailstar. In original condition (original paint+lacquered on decals). Horizontal drops with chain tugs with the mech hanger built in. Includes the original loose ball (but bombproof!) headset that came in the frame. Frame has rim and IS disk mounts.

A truly superb frame that people just keep coming to! I am looking to race HT DH so the Exalt is a more sensible option.

This frame runs great with anything from 100mm for DJ to 150mm (with a short A2C) for DH. I'd say 120-130mm travel (490-510mm A2C) is optimum for a general play bike.

It has marks and scratches from use, but no damage (cracks/dents etc) and for its age is definitely better condition than most. Its only ever done general riding, no clanging down skateparks/steps etc. I have only ridden it in this build for a couple weeks. Prior to that it had 130mm Z1's and went up and down hill perfectly.

I'm just looking for close to what it cost me (£50+post)

£45 posted via courier.

More pictures on request.

Thanks for that matey, really difficult to do forums on the iphone. They are excellent frames, the best all rounders I can think of. I just need to be sensible and go for the Exalt which is designed for the DH riding I'm going to be primarily doing on it.

Cheers

^^ha ha, I know there are a couple about at the moment. I do really like the .243 bikes. I have gone with an Ex[alt] though as its very tatty, but cheap. That's more important for me right now.

Thanks mate

hmmm

what's the top tube c-c and seat tube c-t?

also, does the frame have any quirks? I don't mean faults, I mean like weird size threads / rear brake mounts / seatpost size / or anything like that?

:)

Hi mate, seat tube is 16" the top tube is 22.5" c2c. No quirks at all, it takes 26.8 seatpost and a 30.0mm clamp, IS disk brake mount, normal headtube, 68mm MTB b/b shell. The dropouts are normal 10mm solid or 9mm Quick Release axle.

Many thanks, Jay

ta, is all the cable routing on the top tube? could sale include seatpost?

Hi, yes cable routing goes along the sort of side/underside of the top tube. I have not modified it to take full length cable outers but it could be done by just drilling the ends of the cable stops if you prefer.

I could include a seatpost for a touch more (or basic ones are £8-10 on eBay)

Many thanks, Jay

Hi I'm really hoping you don't sell this in the next week :oops:I want it!...If you still have it this time next week I will have it,hopefully will be able to sort the dollar out sooner. ...Need some steel in my life again,,,
