When I bought this 2 years ago, I thought I'd never part with it. I'd wanted one since I first got into mountain bikes, so the story goes, but never got one.
However, I have to accept it is at least an inch too small for me and I also need to pay for a new guitar amp I've already bought, so here goes.

Purchased just over 2 years ago on ebay from a friendly chap (the original owner) in Chippenham, this was to replace my beloved stolen Gary Fisher.

It quickly turned into a project though with the discovery of retrobike, and I have replaced/upgraded a number of parts. The bike had been stored in a dry shed for over 10 years at the time I bought it,
and it has not been offroad since being in my possession, mostly due to my fastidious desire to get it back to its original glory.

It's not showroom condition, but having said that the only bad points are a few rust spots here and there, nothing structural, and a few bits of cable rub etc.

Postage: very much prefer collection from Bristol, but might be able to arrange some kind of delivery if not too far away. Can borrow a car/deliver by train. I can also be at Bristol Bike Jumble this coming Saturday.

The bike has made the trip there a couple of times and those who've seen it will attest to it its magnificence :D Anyway, enough blathering. Here's the spec and a couple of pics. I will be taking more photos, close ups etc, so bear with me.

All pics here in big big quality. Will try and add one of the whole bike on here but have forgotten how to make it work.

The thorny issue: price. I've thought hard about this and would like £300. However, I realise that may sound a lot to some
and haven't a clue how much similar steeds have fetched as I haven't been on this lovely site for a while. Offers accepted.
Give me some constructive feedback by all means.
Any questions welcomed. I've probably forgotten lots.

That's quite a lot for a Clockwork, but that does seem to be an exceptionally fine example. Superb looking bike.

Price

It's said so many times on here and I know You probably won't want to, but splitting a bike is the only way to realise it's full value. Majority of retro fans like to spec/customise their own steeds and building them up is half the fun (if not moreso than actually riding them  )
As an example a year or so back I had a well specced Ti hardtail complete, FS on here for 3 months at £750, I dropped it to £650 and still no takers, I said no splits as was very busy over this period with work etc, I then split it when I had more time and it made £1270 in individual parts, nett of postage costs.
There looks to be some NOS kit on there, so worth a thought?
Free Bump Too ;)

I realised it may be a long shot selling the whole bike, but thought someone might want a pretty much finished project.
May be willing to split if I get no interest this week. Have updated a couple of the descriptions that I'd forgotten. Thank you for your comments :)

Seen this in the flesh and she is a bute.

Chris is quite the perfectionist to you can expect quality in the detail.

:D

Top tube looks like 56.5cm (just over 22inches) centre to centre.
I'm just over 5'11" and it feels a bit too compact, long reach with saddle properly up.

Michael, will let you know if I decide to split. Quite possible!

Thanks Jo :D
