This one I hate to see go but priorities have to be dealt with.
I bought it as a parts bike and pieced it together as best as I could the way I wanted to ride it. I have some period correct parts that I could include with the sale but most of the stock stuff has been upgraded with the exception of the headset, crank, stem, and fork of course. Its the original Triple Butted 395mm A to C 837grams!
I have the original cantis and levers. Also the rear brake booster.
The frame is in excellent shape mechanically but the paint is not amazing. There are NO dents or bends, just scratches.
The decals were totally trashed so that's why they are gone. I also touched up all the scratches with a color match enamel as best I could. I built it up quickly to ride it and then once I got it how I wanted I was going to get it painted and re-decal it. That would be awesome to see someone finish it.
I sourced a bunch a excellent quality used parts for the build as well as new ones where needed.
XTR 9spd Rapid Fire shifters/Lever combo (M952)
XTR V-Brakes (M950) Brand new ceramic specific pads.
Syncros 1st generation Seatpost
32H Sun CR17A rims with TCC Tungsten Ceramic Coating:
- Radial lacing in front and 3X lacing in back with Wheelsmith DB 14/15 gauge black stainless spokes and red alloy nipples
- Shimano XTR rear hub
- DT Swiss Suspension Front hub, sealed cartridge bearings and oversized axle
- Red annodized Novatec labeled QR wheel skewers
- 1472 grams (front wheel) / 1617 grams (back wheel) with the Kendas mounted.
New parts:
Shimano UN-51 Bottom Bracket
Shimano XT 9 spd Cassette
Shimano XT 9spd rear Derailleur
Shimano XT 9spd Chain
Un-cut Kona Race lite Bar with shims Ritchey slim line grips
