Advice please - looking to replace the Deore FM on my c.2004? Stumpy. Bottom pull/cabling and I assume from marks on down tube originally a bottom mount mech. Do I just look for a "bottom mount, bottom pull" mech? Not a fan of dual pull.
Compatibility with other components probably irrelevant - XTR shifters, XT rear mech, XTR c'set (or should be this week!) - but for completeness prefer to match. Model numbers would be helpful.
I should know, but some years spent in retro depths wiped my 21st century knowledge!
