Frame & forks re-spray

Morning

I know that is difficult to give a definite answer, as it depends on so many factors, but roughly how much might I need to be budgeting if I was thinking of having a frame & forks stripped of paint & re-sprayed? Pretty basic colors, nothing too fancy. Certainly no Colnago, lol!!

Many thanks

from a proper bike sprayer 130 -200 if it's one colour for frame and forks with stickers.

i find bob jackson are pretty good value for money for simple single colour jobs but two colour fades i'd try argos or their new competition in bristol graphicshack.

all 3 have good reps.

:)

I was loking at Bob Jackson to re do my 1970's Bob Jackson. The prices looked very reasonable, the chrome side of things seemed expensive but loking elsewhere it's a typical price.

It's the £55 collection / return that's putting me off (for a while anyways LOL)

As you're in Leeds I don't think you can go wrong with Bob Jackson. I've got one in there now getting done. £100 for spraying in one of their standard metallic colours and that includes stripping off existing paint and chrome. The problem is more being able to leave without buying one of the nice new frames that are hanging up on display.

Woodrup is on Kirkstall Road, Jacksons is Bramley.

I was disappointed with my Bob Jackson paint job. Looked great but didn't take the knocks very well. It was on a mountain bike frame and I fall off a lot :) it chipped rather easily.

Try also Chris Marshall in Keighley. He does a lot of classic bike work including repairs etc.

Phone - 01535 691073

He has done 2 for me with another in the wings waiting for me to take it across.

Heard a few mutterings about BJ's recently - but nothing I can personally comment on.
