Total newbie here so apologies for my ignorance
Recently started using my old Hardrock Sport GX after a couple of mates suddenly developed an interest in off roading and could do with some advice regarding fitting suspension forks. I think my bike's from between 95-97, not entirely sure when though - it's silver with exceptionally tasteful purply/pink decals if that rings any bells!
I debated getting a new bike after drooling all over the floor in the new Specialized concept store in Harrogate at the weekend but I thought sod it, much more satisfying kicking the asses of the kids on their flashy new rigs if I'm riding something that's probably older than they are, so I've decided to make a few upgrades to my old boneshaker, one of which may be a new suspension fork. Problem is, although I've determined that I need a fork with a 1 inch threaded steerer I'm not entirely sure how long it needs to be. Has anyone got any idea?? Tried googling it but to no avail....
