Vintage (mid -1980's) Muddy Fox Explorer mountain bike. Yellow. 23" (59 cm) frame.
Last serviced a few years ago and retired from regular outdoor use, used now as a static exercise bike.
Fitted with two new Kenda 26 x 1.95 tyres.
Apart from the two upright handlebar extension grips which have been added everything else is original. The ends of each of the original sponge grips were cut to allow fixing of the upright grips.
Saddle fabric is worn on its snout. Now used with a saddle cover.
For the majority of the bike, the paintwork is pretty good for a well-used forty year old bike and overall I'd say it's in good condition, there are a few areas where the paintwork has received a few dings. Chromed items are a little rusty but Mavic wheel and spokes are very good condition.
The bike has been garaged throughout its life. It's been a faithful and reliable friend and I'd like to see it bought by an enthusiast, tidied up and preserved.
