Fish tanks tropical or cold water?

Got a fish tank bought for me 19 ltr built in filter. What next?
I've never had a fish tank before even though I'm a avid fisher man, so I like fresh water fish as that's what I fish for, but tropical are so nice, different ect. I saw a sturgeon the other day o Yes I want but I know it's truly a lake fish and my pals got a sting ray as ffff.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking Siamese fighting fish (tropical) or fancy gold fish cold water ???

Get the tanks filled with water (I assume you mean 190L not 19L as that's a small bowl size?) and get it settling in.

I would personally then just get some Zebra Danio / Neon Tetras after a few weeks to get the tank going while you decide what tropicals you want to go for. Find a good place and as questions about them.

Not big enough for fish, but Ideal for Cherry shrimp. You'll need a heater though.

I can't wait to get settled down again and get some fish. I want a large coral based tank. Miss having tropicals.
