Well spotted that man - however, bitd those clever guys at Pace came up with a hub axle which could be fitted either with a QR or bolted in place, hence the oval axle end with a threaded and an unthreaded hole. Rider's choice.
The oval axle end on the RC50 also means that it fits neatly into the end slots of the RC35, supposedly giving a bit more torsional rigidity.
