I don't think the fork type was around in the early/mid 90s, or at least I don't recall seeing them. With my Phoenix I used a silver Tioga branded hanger. It is simply the same as tektro, but with Tioga lasered in. I think the Syncros is tektro as well, but the brass bit is unique.

Indeed is a cable hanger at ahead system with cantilevers at best but for me it is an optical disorder on a bike, often they are thicker than spacer. This is also at Tioga and Syncros the case.

If you really plan to use that amount of spaceres as seen in your picture, I think a hanger in contrast colour could help visually breaking that length.

Nice! probably one of the most beautiful cable hanger at all.
I'm not sure but IMHO you shouldn't use this hanger with a threadless headset.
